Election cycle is in full swing. Three in five Americans don’t want a Biden vs Trump rematch. We are a conspiracy site, though. We analyze why the political duopoly has been so strong. We look at the viability of independents such as RFK Jr. The Maniac Nebula was created with a healthy skepticism of the Establishment, therefore most the moderators screened have truly unique perspectives on life. Nonetheless, a point is made to include ordinary viewpoints.

Her ideas stem from a Hegelian dialectic where a thesis is confronted with an antithesis creating a synthesis and, over time, becomes the new thesis starting the cycle over again. In the spirit of Herbert Marcuse, she does not believe any candidate must be affirmed, but rather, she believes it is critical to negate the worst of the bunch. This would be Orange Jesus, in her eyes.
I let my mods know they are free to create personal profile pages to help you deal with this site. As the election gets closer and closer, you can expect more content from them to be created. I personally don’t focus on the candidates individually as much as the conspiracies around them. They say “follow the money” and that’s what I do. Who is trying to influence them? Who is susceptible to mind bending? Where are they trying to take the country? These are the issues we deal with.

Two days ago, I received a personal message from Wacky Taffy. It was a meme of Donald Trump running for president from prison with Suge Knight as his running mate.
“Is this okay to post?” she asked.
My first reaction was, “Is this an April Fool’s joke?”
But I gave it some thought and I realized we’re going to have to address the issue sooner or later. At a conspiracy site, we have to have a lot of leeway in regards to speech. At the same time, we should have tact in our regular operations. We don’t allow personal attacks between members. That’s something we moderate. In general, anyone who chooses to be in the public eye is fair game. This goes for politicians, singers, athletes, CEOs, and actors. But I personally prefer tact over vitriol.
I told Wacky Taffy, “You have carte blanche. You should know this.”
It’s been a couple of days and the issue has weighed on my mind. There was a time in late night television when comedian hosts would hide their personal politics. At the Tonight Show, this was true for Johnny Carson, and I heard Jay Leno commenting on this recently. The idea of neutrality was part of our news, as well. As a matter of fact, there once was a regulatory law which required TV stations to offer counterpoints whenever they presented an opinion piece. When cable news and internet podcasts came around, these ideas vanished.
I am the site operator of Maniac Nebula. I spend my days analyzing, deciphering, and talking about conspiracies. I prefer the old way of thinking. I don’t want my members to believe I’m neutral about the 2024 election, because I’m not. Up until this past Friday, I’ve prefered to keep my political preferences to myself.
Wacky Taffy was triggered. Millions of people in America and around the world have been triggered. On Good Friday, Trump reposted an image of Biden hogtied in the back of a truck. In 1997, Evander Holyfield was fighting Mike Tyson. Tyson started to lose, so he decided to bite Holyfield’s ear. Mike Tyson was the most marquee name in boxing back then. If it would’ve been anyone else, he would’ve been instantly disqualified and possibly charged with assault. But it was Mike Tyson, so the referee deducted two points and allowed the boxing match to continue.
Then Mike Tyson did it again!
Every now and then, we witness true insanity. Mike Tyson was finally disqualified. Part of Evander Holyfield’s ear was gone. “I got children to raise,” Tyson said in an interview after the fight. “Look at me! Look at me! Look at me! I got to go home and my children are going to be scared of me. Look at me, man!”
Some of you know Maniac Nebula splintered off a few years ago. Refugees started their own site and it was quite pro-Trump in 2016. When Biden won by seven million votes in 2020, Trump blew a fuse. Lin Wood tweeted that Mike Pence should be shot by a firing squad. Trump re-tweeted the post. “Hang Mike Pence!” is what Trump’s crowd chanted on January 6, 2021. As the analogy goes, Trump bit the ear of American democracy.
But they let him continue to fight!
Our rival conspiracy website folded not long after Biden was inagurated. Our site survived because we did not put all our eggs in one basket. Grumpy Old Man wrote a great piece about why he’ll vote Republican in 2024. Some people SHOULD vote for Donald Trump in November. A lot can be said about party loyalty and holding on to your convictions.
Donald Trump is not a well man. They should’ve stopped the fight the first time Tyson bit Holyfield’s ear, and section three of the fourteenth amendment should now disqualify Trump for office. The Supreme Court has been corrupted by money. The John Oliver piece speaks to this. We’re watching the conspiracy take form, but no one’s sure if it’ll reach fruition. Trump is eyeing American democracy again, and he’s hungry! He wants a little nibble of that ear again. He’s just waiting for their heads to slightly butt, and then he’s going to take a nice chomp off the earlobe!
My politics will not be hidden this election cycle. You can add me to the Never Trump category. Will I endorse Biden, Kennedy, or someone else? I’ll likely let you know in November, but I’m with WT about the idea of negation. It’s good to know what you DON’T want. When I see Trump in today’s world, I see a psychopath attacking the daughter of a judge. When he attacks her, I feel Wacky Taffy’s dissatisfaction and angst. I am with her one hundred percent.
